Black Art Is.... aims to provide a resource that recognizes, records, responds and reflects on black artworks whilst responding to questions that arise regarding their historical and political significance. With that in mind, we practice object based learning through looking at contemporary art explorations, 
as well as applied and decorative arts from the past created by people from the African diaspora.

BLACK ART IS.... WHAT, EXACTLY?

Black Art Is.... an online museum dedicated to exploring the modern and contemporary works of artists from the African Diaspora. Black Art Is...is a place for artists, teachers, families and teens.
A space that will host podcasts,virtual tours and art projects inspired by highlighted artists and their techniques as well as provide curriculum and lesson plans.
